One evening, after work, I took the 28-300mm L lens that I rented for 7 days on a final excursion. I went to the Central Park reservoir, where I actually often test new gear after work. It’s a challenge to try to see something NEW to photograph there after having gone so frequently, but with each new lens a new world sort of opens up. A super telephoto such as this would let me get extremely close to the wild flora growing on the side of the reservoir. Also, the sunset light, aka “Golden Light” is some of the best for photographing some subjects. The following are a sample of what I came out with at the end of the session:
