The NY Pinup Club, which can be found on Meetup.com hosted one of their monthly Burlesque shows this evening.
The featured girls were :

Dottie Dynamo
Lady Liza
and Lone Starlet.

It now marks one year on the calendar since last year's Mermaid Parade. This time, I DO have that 85mm f1.8 lens that I wished I had last year. That AND a new Camera body. I'll be rocking the Canon 60D for its first tour of duty during the parade. The forecast
Hanami, or the Japanese traditional practice of flower viewing is many centuries old. Depending on the season, the Japanese flowering Cherry trees bloom anywhere from late March early April to the middle of May. Hanami refers to the month long spectacle that culminates with the Sakura Matsuri weekend festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
Just a photo account of my stroll in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on a much quieter day, after the Sakura festival.
On Valentine's day I spent the evening at Etsy labs working on painting of glass hearts, the one's we're holding up in the photo. It was fun, reminded me of being in elementary, or middle school.
