“My fiance (now husband) and I worked with Carlos over a year ago for an engagement shoot in Brooklyn (specifically DUMBO and the promenade).  To be honest, we were nervous because we’re both a little shy, nerdy, and goofy and probably not the most comfortable people in front of a camera.  But if you are going to have an engagement shoot, get ready to feel cheesy no matter who the photographer is.  Just a heads up, you’re going to have to look like you’re in love!

But Carlos was really great to work with.  He had a lot of ideas and everything was very organic.  He does spend time to chat with you, get to know you a little so the experience is definitely less awkward then it has to be.  And our comfort and his abilities really shine through in the photos.  Our favorite photos ended up being the ones when he just captured an odd, quirky moment, when we’re laughing or making stupid faces at each other.  Yes, the lovey-dovey ones were beautiful too.  We are a couple of average attractiveness and he made us look good!  ”
