Taken with a 50mm f1.8 through a chain link fence in my old neighborhood in Brooklyn. I took the photo when I went to visit a friend who lives in the area. This hidden railroad adds a charm to the old hood, which I miss.

I shot this one with a lens I don't often get to use, the Pentax Takumar 135mm mounted on my Canon Rebel T1I. I used an Alien Bee 400 Strobe mounted in a Gridded Softbox pointing down on the figure from directly above the camera.

I like the pattern of a naked tree. Reminds me of the branching and "arborization" of a neuron. They plug themselves into the open air to soak up all the energy of the sun, natural, functional beauty right there. untitled
