In March I hosted a sweepstakes with two prizes up for grabs. The grand prize was a free portrait session for up to two members, could be family or a couple. The second prize was for a piece of framed fine art photography from my ETSY

I've finally wrangled the loose ends on this blog which have held me back from posting more often. Certain elements of this blog theme have seemed limiting to me, in the past, but I now realize that it's more the application of those plugins which have really needed a DAY's worth of analysis. Seriously. A day.
This was my second time attending the annual Village Halloween Parade. It was almost too cold to observe the parade for any amount of time, and to hold a camera to take p ictures was almost intolerable. I took a few frames and called it a night after an hour or so. Nothing spectacular, lighting a street scene in flattering light is one of my least favorite things to endeavor.
The first week of the New Year draws to a close, and I'm deciding to finally pursue the 365 Project.
I start off with this shot of a snowman in a neighborhood front yard. 
On Saturday May 14 I photographed Sheron , a mother-to-be in her 27th week of pregnancy, and also Charlie- her husband. This is just the second session in what will hopefully be a 3-4 part collection tracking her pregnancy up until the baby is born.
I resolved to "be more creative" this year, and looking back at what I've produced - indeed, I've probably taken some strides in the right direction. Yet, I still haven't gone as far as I'd like to.
While listening to a podcast some time ago, I was reminded of what I need to do, or of how I need to think, if I want to go further in focusing my creative vision.

Michele and I had heavy feet this Saturday, but we saw that the Annual Halloween Dog parade event was being held today - as advertised in Time Out NY magazine. The irresistible cuteness beckoned us to check it out. More her than me, of course.
