Just a photo account of my stroll in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on a much quieter day, after the Sakura festival.
As a rule, the BIGGER the light source you can light a subject with, the more flattering the image will be. Swivel that flash to 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock positions to find walls to bounce light onto your subject, rather than hitting them squarely with the flash head, which effectively is a much smaller light source than a wall. An alternative is to point the light straight up at a ceiling, which if low enough will be better than the...
I'm excited to finally have a model I can work with; one that wont get bored, or tired, or hungry, and that I can pose just so. She's got 26 or so points of articulation, which will have to do. This is a rule; independent of whether you eventually even use social media tools to advertise. Any entrepreneur must first get comfortable with the idea of networking, seeking mentorship, or guerilla marketing before social media is even adopted.

Project 365: Day 14 Gear

We've been having a particularly stormy and icy winter this year. I think I finally have the chance to take those kinds of photos which make me jealous of more remotely located photographers. If you live in Canada, I hate you, Denver, hate, Alaska, I hate you for the landscapes you see on the daily. I'm only kidding really, I'm not a bitter person , especially since we have some parks here which if you photograph on a day like...
Anyone who frequents the Fulton Landing area in Brooklyn may recognize this Green Chevy. I don't think it moves, though I could be wrong. Project 365: Day 2 Green Chevy
